  • Determine the importance of procedures for ensuring food safety, food handling, and avoiding unsafe behavior
  • Determine how to communicate food safety threats
  • Recognize key legal responsibilities of food handlers
  • Recognize the importance of personal hygiene in food safety including the role of food handlers in reducing the risk of contamination

  • Know how to keep the work area and equipment clean and tidy, by following satisfactory procedures relating to cleaning methods, safe use of chemicals and safe storage of cleaning chemicals

  • identify the main food safety risks associated with microbiological, chemical, physical, and allergen contamination and cross-contamination
  • Identify safe food handling and temperature control practices for delivery, storage, date marking and stock rotation

  • Know how to deal with food spoilage including recognition and reporting

Assessment

Qualification is assessed:

  • Centre marked multiple choice theory assessment. This theory assessment will be via a series of multiple-choice questions, which can be a written assessment. Get online food certification easily available after completion of course.
